Project summary: | The project aims at: Creating of pre-conditions for sustainable tourism development; Creating new touristic destinations; Creating of new touristic products; Tourism competitiveness strenghtening; Promotion of cultural, historical and natural potentials as the basis for tourism development; Integration of touristic potentials into the European space. Planned project activities are: Project management of the project, both teams from Lom and Pantelej will be responsible for the day-to-day management, implementation, coordination and monitoring activities in both countries; Implementation of construction activities (repairs and restoration of a Multifunctional Cultural and Tourism Center situated on the river bank of the Danube and the adjoining infrastructure.CM Pantelej will reconstruct 300 m of the road leading to the Cerje cave and will rehabilitate a road leading to the Monastery St.John; Joint activities on promotion of cultural and historical heritage and natural values in the both cross-border regions (creation of new thematic routes in Lom and Pantelej, Nish); Joint activities on elaboration of promotional materials - development of promo material and catalogues:"100 reasons to be a proud citizen of Lom" and "100 reasons to be a proud citizen of Nish"; Information and publicity activities including mass media presentation and promotion of the project and its results through banners and permanent boards and other advertising materials. Results of the project will be formed a strong team; Improved cross-border communication; Created a Multifunctional Culture Tourist-Information Center in Lom;Reconstracted one road and rehabilitated another in Pantelej; Created new attractive thematic routes;Spectacular event on the river Danube"Fish Festival"; Cave speleo extreme visits; 1000 luxury catalogues elaborated; 800 leaflets with information about the cultural and historic heritage of Lom,200 CDs for the Serbian partner and 200 brochures aiming to promote the cultural and historic heritage; 8 press-release in newpapers; 6 media broadcasts; Explanatory signs and billboards-7; 2 opening conferences and 2 closing; 2 official presentations of the luxury catalogues will be made in the town of Lom and the town of Nish.

Project summary: | The general objective of the project is development of competitive tourist attractions through the exposure of ancient fortress Borovets (near the town of Pravets) and realization of new exhibition in Surdulica. Project activities:
Expected results: Through the activities in this project will be increased the tourist attractiveness of the cross-border region of Pravets and Surdulica through the conservated cultural historical site fortress Borovets, new exhibition in Surdulica, and the development of small scale infrastructure encouraging tourists' visits - relax zones with benches, litter bins, wooden platforms in Borovets area. Significant project results are also:
Target groups pf the project are local citizens of Municipality of Pravets (7430) and Surdulica (20319); Tourists visiting Pravets (30000) and Surdulica (20000) yearly; Experts from Historical Museum - Pravets (6) and Association of soldiers - Surdulica (5); Мunicipal administration of Pravets (56) and Surdulica (68); Representatives of media (20) and NGOs, SMEs, tourism agencies (10). |
