Project summary:

The project aims at improving the tourist attractiveness and diversifying the tourist products of Belogradhik – Boljevac region

Specific objectives:

  • To improve the attractiveness of Magurata Cave;
  • To establish a Nature and Tourist Centre at Rtani Mountain;
  • To create elements for diversification, innovative presentation and popularization of the tourist attractions in the region.

Project activities:

  1. Improvement the tourist attractiveness of Magurata Cave;
  2. Hologram presentation of Magurata Cave;
  3. Establishment of Nature and Tourist Centre (NTC) on Rtani Mountain;
  4. Furnishing the NTC and equipping an interactive Vistors' Hall;
  5. Elaboration of a Joint Platform and mobile application for the biodiversity and tourist attractions of Boljevac-Belogradchik CBC region;
  6. Elaboration of joint tourist routes;
  7. Organization of popularization event of the joint tourist routes;
  8. Organization of Joint Nature Days Fest in Boljevac.

Project results and outputs:

  1. Improved tourist attractiveness of Belogradchik – Boljevac region;
  2. Improved lighting and access to the Magurata Cave;
  3. Developed system for hologram presentation of Magurata Cave;
  4. Established Nature and Tourist Centre (NTC) on Rtani Mountain;
  5. Furnished NTC and equipped interactive Vistors' Hall;
  6. Elaborated Joint Platform and mobile application;
  7. Elaborated joint tourist routes;
  8. Organized popularization event of the joint tourist routes;
  9. Organized Joint Nature Days Fest in Boljevac.

Target Groups: Visitors of Magurta Cave; Visitors of the Nature and Tourist Centre on Rtani Mountain; Population of Belogradchik Municipality; Population of Vidin District; Population of Boljevac Municipality; Population of Zaejar District; Representatives from the tourist sector in Zaejar District; Representatives from the tourist sector in Vidin District.

Project summary:

The project aims at increasing the tourism attractiveness of the balneological and spa destinations in Bulgaria and Serbia. Specific objective: Development of a common strategy for development of tourist destinations; Implementation of initiatives for the protection and promotion of natural resources and cultural heritage.

The project envisages: Project Management Activity; Reconstruction of the Nikolai Haitov Park in Sapareva Banya; Renovation of Park Banjica in Sokobanja; Development of a cooperation strategy for sustainable tourism development; Organization and conducting of kick-off and final press conferences, and is targeted at regional and local providers of tourist services, providers of health and recreation services, regional/ national touristic associations.

The final beneficiaries/users of the results of the project will be: Population of the two sities Tourists and visitors Orthopedic patients, neurologic patients, cardio patients, pulmonary patients.

Project summary:

Project general objective is to diversify tourist products through cooperation in the border region and utilization of intangible heritage for tourism development - Involvement of local communities in measures for sustainable development.

The project envisages establishment of Museum of kuker masks at Kosharevo village for which the local craftsmen will create 8 traditional masks; Establishment of tourist site at Vidriste area; Provision of entertaining on site using new technologies; Advertisement of the attractions through promotional materials and 3 mobile application with guide for local traditions; and organization of Discover the Traditions events in Kosharevo and Vidriste.
