Successful Forum Connects Partners for Project Concepts under the Territorial Strategy of INTERREG VI-A Bulgaria-Serbia 2021-2027 Program

On Wednesday, July 19th, at 2 p.m., in the "Gazela" Hall in Pirot, a Partner Search Forum for project concepts under the Territorial Strategy of the INTERREG VI-A Bulgaria-Serbia 2021-2027 Program was held. The event, organized as part of the Program's information campaign, provided an opportunity for organizations with project ideas but without established partner relationships to connect with other interested institutions.

The Forum, attended by 62 individuals, including 16 representatives from Bulgaria, covered various sectors and institutions, including non-governmental organizations, associations, public municipal companies, regional development agencies, sports associations/centres, tourism organizations, museums, municipalities, faculties, universities, schools, and the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism.

The event offered a platform for interaction among different organizations and experts sharing similar fields of interest. This allowed them to discover potential partners for future projects and foster collaborations that could contribute to formulating better and more feasible proposals.

Just like the preceding information days, the Forum provided valuable information about the application process, evaluation criteria, and other details related to the call. This clarity gave participants a better understanding of the requirements and increased confidence in preparing higher-quality proposals.

The expressed interests during the Forum encompassed various sectors, including sports tourism, festival and event tourism, culinary and gastronomy ventures, ceramics, enhancement of existing tourist destinations and cultural heritage sites, the establishment of youth centres (including those catering to children with special needs), digitization in tourism, and more.

Participants expressed satisfaction at the opportunity to present themselves and their respective sectors, as well as the chance to express their desire to find suitable partners. After the official part, all attendees continued to exchange ideas and contacts during informal meetings.

The Partner Search Forum fostered an atmosphere of cooperation and collaboration among participants. The event is a clear testament to the commitment of the INTERREG VI-A Bulgaria-Serbia 2021-2027 Program to promoting cross-border cooperation and creating impactful projects.
