Project summary:
The project main objective is increasing of the quality of the tourist products and services in the cross-border area and developing new ones through increasing the qualification and stimulating entrepreneurship among youths.
Activities: 1. Study "Opportunities and challenges for provision of quality tourist services and products in the CBC area“; 2. Action plan for fostering entrepreneurship in tourism; 3. Specialized training for young entrepreneurs in tourism; 4. Online platform for business consultations and start-ups in the sector of tourism; 5. Young tourism entrepreneurs networking event.
Expected results: 1. Conducted survey among 100 key stakeholders on the needs and challenges in tourism in terms of human resources, quality of services and entrepreneurship. Organized round table with 30 participants. Elaborated 3-lingual report on the study "Opportunities and challenges for provision of quality tourist services and products in the CBC area“; 2. Elaborated Action plan for fostering entrepreneurship in tourism, based on the above study and 3 focus groups with 20 participants each, held in Kyustendil, Vidin and Pirot; 3. Conducted training of 45 young entrepreneurs in tourism; 4. Developed online platform STEPS for provision of active educational initiatives and consultations for start-ups in tourism; 5. Established young entrepreneurs’ network in the field of tourism – STEPS.
