2.1 Skills & Entrepreneurship

The project general objective is to create an attractive school environment for the development of adolescents in the regions of Pernik and Nisava. The specific objectives are: 1) To improve the physical environment for sports, physical education and extra-curricular activities in Nis and Pernik; 2) To develop and apply an IECP, which is helping to prevent obesity, raises the desire of students to continue their education and improves formal education; 3) To build the capacity of teachers and other experts in the educational process to diversify their methods.

Planned activities: Elaboration innovative extra-curricular program (IECP) for development of entrepreneurial skills through sport, construction works in Pernik to improve outdoor facilities and attractiveness of the Professional School of clothing and tourism St. Ivan Rilski and Professional school of energy and mining Hristo Botev in Pernik accompanied with site supervision and supervision provided by the designer; Construction works for outdoor facilities in Crveni Кrst and raising the attractiveness of the college of Applied Technical Sciences, Mechanical Technical school “15th May”, Technical school for traffic “12th February”, Construction technical school “Neimar” in Nis together with the necessary site supervision in Nis; Organizing of joint training for physical education teachers and other experts to apply the innovative extra-curricular program (IECP); Pilot implementation of the innovative extra-curricular program (IECP) and organizing of project sport event in Pernik and Nis.

Expected results: Improved phisical environment of 9205m2. The creating of an attractive school environment and providing opportunities for extra-curricular activities will increase the motivation of young people to continue their education and will improve the physical status of more than 3634 students within the project. A long-term positive result will be also observed on teachers and other employees (430) in 6 schools by improving the physical infrastructure and raising their capacity.
