The Interreg-IPA CBC Bulgaria-Serbia Programme conducted an online training for the Bulgarian project partners under the Second call for proposals

On 03.07.2020 the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg-IPA CBC Bulgaria-Serbia Programme conducted an online training for beneficiaries, targeting representatives of the Bulgarian project partners of the 13 new projects, financed from the beginning of 2020, and another 20 projects expected to be awarded subsidy in the coming months. 38 participants took part in the training, as some projects were represented by more than 1 participant. The following topics were discussed during the training:

Territorial Cooperation Management Directorate within the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works of the Republic of Bulgaria (in its capacity of Managing Authority of the above mentioned programmes) has published Service Contract Notice about restricted procedure for providing service for “Organization of events under Interreg-IPA CBC Programmes 2014-2020, managed by Republic of Bulgaria”.

The Managing Authority (MA) of the Interreg - IPA CBC Bulgaria – Serbia Programme, informs the beneficiaries that in order to improve control and legality of the actions to be taken in case of temporary suspension of projects, it supplements the instructions to the beneficiaries of the program regarding:

- suspension of Service / Supply / Works contracts for the implementation of the project activities

- provision of an analysis of the planned activities after the suspension period

Modern equipment of the Veterinary Specialist Institute Nis provided with European funding is used for testing of Covid-19

From the 3rd of April, samples were taken at the Health Centre Niš for testing of Covid-19. Thanks to the modern equipment provided under a project funded by the Bulgaria - Serbia Cross-border Programme, between 140 and 200 samples are tested on a daily basis mainly at the Veterinary Specialist Institute. According to its director - Milos Petrovic, the institute's laboratory has а high technological equipment and а qualified staff, which saves valuable time for diagnosis and taking protective measures.
