Regular support for the funds under the European programs managed by the MRDPW continues

The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works continues to make payments for projects to beneficiaries - municipalities, regional administrations, ministries, non-governmental organizations and others.

Regardless of the complicated epidemic situation and the declared state of emergency in the country, related to the spread of COVID-19 in the territory of Bulgaria, as well as the emergency measures introduced in the territories of the neighboring countries, the necessary organization was created and there is no delay in the processing and restoration of costs of payment applications submitted by beneficiaries. In the period from March 13, when the state of emergency was announced, funds under the INTERREG-IPA Bulgaria-Serbia 2014-2020 Program have been paid to beneficiaries amounting to EUR 312 510 for implemented activities.

The processing and reimbursement of expenditure incurred by the beneficiaries of the Programme continue to contribute to the fullest extent to addressing the crisis and minimize the negative consequences in the social and economic systems. It also relies on timely responses from beneficiaries and contractors, since if someone in the Beneficiary - Implementing Managing Authority system fails to fulfill their commitments or control functions, payment recovery is more time consuming.
