First Joint Monitoring Committee meeting under Interreg-IPA CBC Bulgaria-Serbia Programme 2014-2020 took place in Sofia

The First Joint Monitoring Committee meeting under Interreg-IPA CBC Bulgaria-Serbia Programme was held on 30th of July, in Sofia. The meeting was chaired by Denitsa Nikolova, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works and co-chaired by Sanda Simic, Deputy Director of Serbian European Integration Office of the Republic of Serbia. Official guest in the Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC) meeting was Ann–Jasmin Krabatsch, representative of the “Regional and urban policy” Directorate General at the European Commission.

The JMC consists of representatives of central and local administrations of both countries, and representatives of NGOs acting in the cross-border area.

The JMC members reviewed and approved the following main documents:

  1. Rules of Procedures of the JMC;
  2. Application package, including Guidelines for Applicants and Selection Criteria for Applications, under the First Call for proposals;
  3. Communication Strategy under the Programme, including all visualization and publicity measures envisaged to be implemented during 2014-2020;
  4. Multi-Annual Technical Assistance Strategy of the Programme 2014-2020.

During the meeting, JMC members also made a decision the Guidelines for Applicants and the Application package under the First Call for proposals to be published in August. The First Call for proposals under Interreg-IPA CBC Bulgaria-Serbia Programme will cover projects under Priority Axis 1 – Sustainable tourism, Priority Axis 2 – Youths and Priority Axis 3 – Environment.
